Some college students do not have to go to dad for extra spending money these days. Instead, they're becoming budding internet entrepreneurs by running small start-up online businesses from their dorm rooms!
Instead of creating a website from scratch, they purchase the rights to sell internet home business know-how from companies who in turn provide them with a fully equipped storefront to sell their products. The storefront includes a flashy video, audio testimonials and lots of other compelling marketing materials.
What's more, these storefronts have a neat little feature that allows potential customers to actually receive a phone call from one of the company's representative shortly after they fill out a short form expressing interest. This leaves the student free to hit the books.
They promote their internet businesses through an assortment of marketing tactics including participating in chat rooms, handing out flyers, telling friends, sending links to their websites in their emails etc., creating blogs, etc.
Students keep abreast of their prospects and sales by receiving a phone call or email, or by visiting the 'back office' of their website, where all the call-ins are neatly arranged.
While the 'how-to' products are the hook to get customers to visit their online stores, they make their bread and butter from selling the actual internet storefront itself'the same one they purchased.
The profits really kick in after the student business owner 'qualifies' or makes a certain number of sales, and the more they pony up when they start their businesses, the fewer the qualified sales they need to make.
That's why some students bypass the lowest rung of associate (which normally is under $100) by anteing up as much as $1,499 from their summer earnings to push them further up the 'food chain.' This allows them to start earning serious money after just a couple of sales.
The money starts rolling in after they've become qualified, because now they not only earn $1,000 or $3,000 from the first sale of each and every new customer that buys from them, but each first sale each of these people make, as well as each first sale each of these people make' ad infinitum!
College students are proverbially poor, unless their parents have deep pockets' which is a contradiction in terms, given today's rising college costs. But some students are starting to generate more than 'a little spending money' using these automated businesses made possible by the internet.
